Walker Wind Speed And Wind Direction Anemometer P1249
Wind Data Display The Walker P1249 is placed on the DIN 43700 (Din144 x 144) pattern and reads IEC 61162-1: 2000, NMEA 0183, "MWV" and "MWD" serial data to provide relative readings, for vessels, wind direction and speed. The 24vDC power supply requirement of this unit has two 256 * 64 pixels OLED Graphic display, 4 Touch switches; for display mode, scaling and illumination controls, NMEA 0183 input and 1 NMEA 0183. An LED ring in 5 steps also shows the direction of the wind.
Three Operation Modes in Provide
For "Mode 1": show by pressing [REL] button, the top view will show relative wind speed, with lower relative wind direction. If the [REL] button is pressed consecutively for approximately 3 seconds, the wind speed unit shown will change. Then press the key in the order of KTS, M / S, KPH and MPH.
In "Mode 2", by pressing the [TRUE] button, the top view will show the TRUE wind speed. The bottom view will show the TRUE wind direction. Then press [TRUE] button will switch to "Mode 3" and will show True or True to Ship, the wind direction is also shown on the appropriate LED ring View mode is activated.
Wind Data Display P1249 will receive and retransmit valid IEC 61162 1: 2000 (NMEA 0183). Messages with the following formats: MWV, MWD, VLW, VHW, VBW, HDT, HDM, HDG, VTG, JLG (proprietary), GGA, XDR and MTW. LEDs, visible on the back of the unit, provide additional information for customer trust and diagnostic purposes. Units receive and display wind data from IEX 61112-1: 2000 (NMEA 0183) "MWV" and "MWD" messages are valid.

Marine Wind Tracker Model 06206 The Marine Wind Tracker has special features for shipboard use.
Wind speed is displayed in your choice of units: KNOTS, MPH, KM/H, M/S. Maximum wind speed is also shown. Wind direction information is clearly displayed on a circular pattern of LEDs. Bold front panel graphics give a quick indication of wind angle relative to vessel heading. Brightness control allows adjustment for best viewing in any light. Luminous front panel markings allow viewing even in a darkened pilothouse. 4-20 mA inputs, Serial NMEA, and Voltage outputs are standard on the Marine Wind Tracker. Aerovane® Wind Transmitter: Model 120 measures wind speed and direction, Rugged construction, Aerodynamic design, Proven performance for land station, offshore or shipboard applications.
The Aerovane® Wind Transmitter is a precision instrument for measuring the speed and direction of wind. Wind speed is sensed by a 3-bladed impeller which is mounted to the shaft of a DC generator; the output of which is linear with respect to wind speed. Wind direction is sensed by the large rudder of the fuselage, which is connected to a torque-synchro transmitter contained in the vane shaft housing.
The rear rudder section of the fuselage is made of a fiberglass reinforced polyester and the impeller is made of high-impact phenolic composite. The center-section of the fuselage and the vane shaft housing are aluminum castings.
The upper and lower sections of the vane shaft housing separate at the flanges, allowing the transmitter to retain its alignment to a reference direction after removal and re-installation.
The lower section of the vane shaft housing is sized for mounting the transmitter into a 1.37″ (3.48 cm.) diameter hole.
The transmitter is capable of driving two Model 135 or up to five Model 136 indicators. The distance by which the transmitter and indicator can be separated in an Aerovane® system is governed by the amount of wind speed error that is acceptable to the user. The table shows how the error corresponds to various conductor gages and cable lengths.
The Aerovane® Transmitters are available with thermostatically controlled heaters to prevent freezing during icing conditions to temperatures of 14° F (-10° C).
The Aerovane® Transmitter 122 measures wind speed only and does not require external power.
Also available is the Model 123 Transmitter, which measures both wind speed and direction. This model uses a linear potentiometer to measure direction. The 123 can be used with Transmuter Systems and most Data Loggers.
